Nestled in a glaciated canyon, Cedar Grove Lodge is located in the heart of Kings Canyon National Park at Cedar Grove, a breathtaking 35-mile drive from Grant Grove through the Sequoia National Forest. Open May through mid-October, the lodge serves travelers exploring Kings Canyon’s alluring attractions, including North Dome, Grand Sentinel, Zumwalt Meadow, Roaring Falls, and Muir Rock, set on the banks of the wild and scenic Kings River. Nearby is Roads End, a staging area for day hikes, horseback trips, and backpack trips into the park. Pet-friendly accommodations guarantee a delightful stay for all members of the family.

This hotel is a drive, but so worth it. It is not the most modern, but stunning in its views along the river. Having a complimentary breakfast was a great start to the day. Dinner at the snack bar was really good. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Great location. Accommodation clean but basic. Good-sized room with plenty of towels and hot water. There are no TVs (which is a good thing), very limited internet. Cafe and shop on site, however there was no coffee machine. Overall would recommend staying here. It’s close to nature and very peaceful.
