Cancellation Policy
All reservations may be changed or canceled at no charge* by 4:00 pm PDT 2 days before the scheduled arrival date. Please note that changes to the reservation will be subject to availability and any rate differences.
*Excludes reservations booked under the Advance Purchase / Book Early and Save rate, which are non-refundable.
Must be age 18+ to make a reservation and check in.
John Muir Lodge, Cedar Grove Lodge, and Grant Grove Cabins
All Kings Canyon reservations require a credit card guarantee by Visa®, MasterCard®, Discover Card®, Diners Club®, or American Express®. Your credit card will be billed for the first night's room and tax for each room booked. If the credit card charge is not approved, your reservation will be canceled.
You may book up to 9 guestrooms online under the same name and/or address. After 9 rooms have been reserved, any additional rooms booked under that same name and/or address will be automatically canceled. To reserve 10 guestrooms or more, please call the group sales department at 877-436-9617.
Reservations booked through the call center must be changed/canceled through the call center. Cancellation policy is strictly enforced with no exceptions.
Special requests are noted and maintained in the reservation system; however, specific room numbers or locations cannot be guaranteed. Rates are subject to change with National Park Service approval. All rates are subject to applicable state and county taxes that may change without notice.
Your accommodations are normally available after 4:00 p.m. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. Reservations may be booked up to 366 days (one year and one day) in advance. Rates are based on single or double occupancy. Children age 17 and under do not affect the rate, but the rate will increase by $12 (not including package components) per additional adult age 18 and older in the room.
The National Park Service has designated all restaurants, bars, and public restrooms as non-smoking areas. The park entrance fee is not covered in room rates. Please see the Park Service website for current entrance fees.
A daily $0.75 California Tourism Fee will be charged during your stay. The fee is reflected in the total amount due, but is not included in your deposit and will be charged upon arrival. Visit California is a nonprofit 501(c) corporation with a mission to develop and maintain marketing programs - in partnership with the state's travel industry - that keep California top-of-mind as a premier travel destination.
An optional donation to the Sequoia Parks Conservancy of $2.00 per night will be added to each individual room reservation. Sequoia Parks Conservancy (SPC) is the official nonprofit partner of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. SPC's efforts have been critical in the conservation of wild, beautiful landscapes for the enjoyment and inspiration of generations of visitors.

John Muir Lodge & Grant Grove Cabins Pet Policy
You agree to release, defend and indemnify the Wuksachi Lodge, John Muir Lodge, and/or Grant Grove Cabins from any and all claims and/or damages related to your pet or pet's stay at the hotel, included any claims by third-parties. You expressly waive and relinquish the benefits of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "a general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which is know by him/her must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor".
Bearpaw High Sierra Camp®
Your credit card will be billed the total room and tax amount for each tent booked. If the credit card charge is not approved, your reservations will be canceled.
Cancellations or reservation changes must be received no later than 30 days prior to arrival date for deposit refund. Cancellations or changes received less than 30 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of deposit. PLEASE NOTE: reservations can only be changed/canceled online if they were originally booked online. Reservations booked through the call center must be changed/canceled through the call center. Cancellation policy is strictly enforced with no exceptions.
Wilderness Permits are required, but free of charge for guests confirmed at the High Sierra Camp. Guests do not need to reserve a permit. Permits need to be picked up in person at the Lodgepole Visitor Center. The Lodgepole Wilderness Permit Desk is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (closed for lunch from 11:00 to noon). Permits may be picked up the same day of the hike. Or they can be picked up the afternoon prior to the hike (after 1:00 p.m.).
