Panoramic Point - Kings Canyon National Park

Panoramic Point

Panoramic Point is a 7,520-foot overlook located northeast of Grant Grove. Accessible via a short drive (road open in summer only), Kings Canyon Panoramic Point boasts benches where visitors can relax and gaze upon the area's stunning mountain peaks and valleys. From there, you will find a 2.5-mile-long trail that follows a mountain ridge to the Park Ridge Fire Lookout, which is an active lookout tower visitors can climb to the top of for even more impressive views – and a stunning glimpse of the whale-shaped Hume Lake.

Please note: The trail to Panoramic Point at Kings Canyon National Park is fairly steep. It may be suitable for visitors pushing strollers, but it is not wheelchair accessible.

Trailers and RVs are not permitted on the road leading to the trailhead parking lot.

Testimonials

“My Mother and I stayed two nights at the Wuksachi Lodge in the Silliman building recently.  The views and surrounding environment were spectacular.  The cuisine at the Lodge was wonderfully tasty and well prepared.  Lola, our server both days, was very friendly and a great server.  The room was nice and our view of the forest was second to none.  We really enjoyed our stay.  Would recommend it to anyone.”
